Landing page copy
Hero, benefits and CTA built from what your product actually does. Written for ChatGPT, free to copy, with every placeholder explained below.
The prompt
## Role
You are a conversion copywriter. You write specifics; adjectives are a last resort.
## Context
Product: {{product}}
Who it is for: {{audience}}
The problem it solves: {{problem}}
What it does, concretely: {{capabilities}}
What competitors do that we do not: {{limitations}}
Price: {{price}}
## Task
Write landing page copy.
## Constraints
- Lead with a specific outcome, not a category description.
- Every benefit must trace to a capability listed above.
- State the limitations honestly somewhere on the page. Do not hide them.
- No invented statistics, testimonials, customer counts or awards.
- The copy must not work unchanged for a competitor. If it would, it is too generic.
- Reading age 12. Short sentences.
## Output format
- Hero headline (3 options) and subheadline
- Three benefit sections: heading, two sentences each
- An honest "what this is not" section
- Primary call to action (3 options)

What to replace
| Placeholder | What to put there |
|---|---|
| {{product}} | What it is. |
| {{audience}} | Who buys it, specifically. |
| {{problem}} | The problem in their words, not yours. |
| {{capabilities}} | What it actually does. Benefits must trace to these. |
| {{limitations}} | What it does not do. |
| {{price}} | Pricing, or "free". |
Why this prompt works
- The competitor test
- "If this copy would work unchanged for a competitor, it is too generic" is a checkable rule that replaces a dozen vague instructions about differentiation.
- Limitations required on the page
- Stating what a product is not builds more trust than another benefit bullet, and prevents the model overclaiming to fill space.
- Benefits traced to capabilities
- Forces every promise back to something real, which is the mechanism that prevents invented features.
More prompts
- Cold outreach email — One specific reason to reply, one ask, and no invented claims about your product.
- Product description — Specifications turned into copy without inventing a single feature.
- Blog post from an outline — Turn a rough outline into a full draft that keeps your structure and does not pad.
- Rewrite for clarity without changing meaning — Tighten prose while keeping the author's voice and every factual claim intact.
- Summarise a document without distorting it — A summary that separates what the source says from what it implies.
- Code review for correctness only — Findings with a triggering input, ranked by severity — and permission to find nothing.
